Article I - Name and Purpose
1. Name: The organization shall be known as Lakeland Village PONY Baseball powered by BRG.
2. Purpose: To provide a structured and positive environment for youth to learn and play baseball, emphasizing
sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.

Article II - Governance
1. Board of Directors:
- Comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other appointed members.
- Responsible for overseeing league operations, setting policies, and ensuring compliance with PONY Baseball
guidelines.

2. Meetings:
- Regular meetings shall be held monthly.
- Special meetings may be called as needed.
- A quorum (majority of board members) is required for decision-making.

Article III - Membership

1. Eligibility:
- Open to all youth within the designated age brackets as defined by PONY Baseball.
- Participants must complete registration and provide necessary documentation.
2. Fees:
- Registration fees shall be set annually by the Board.
- Financial assistance may be available upon request.

Article IV - Code of Conduct
1. Players:
- Must treat coaches, teammates, opponents, umpires, and spectators with respect.
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship, integrity, and teamwork at all times.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment responsibly.
2. Parents and Spectators:

- Encouraged to support all players positively.
- Refrain from negative comments or actions that could disrupt the game or league environment.
3. Coaches and Volunteers:
- Serve as role models, promoting fair play and respect.
- Ensure all players receive equal opportunities to participate and develop skills.
- Comply with all league policies and safety guidelines.

Article V - Safety and Compliance
1. Training:
- All coaches and volunteers must complete mandatory training, including:
- Abuse Awareness Training
- Concussion Protocol
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
- Background Checks
2. Equipment:
- All equipment must meet safety standards as outlined by PONY Baseball.
- Regular inspections shall be conducted to ensure equipment integrity.

Article VI - Game Play and Rules

1. Divisions:
- The league shall consist of divisions aligned with PONY Baseball age groups (e.g., Shetland, Pinto, Mustang,
Bronco, Pony).
2. Rules:
- Games shall be played in accordance with official PONY Baseball rules.
- Any local modifications must be approved by the Board and communicated to all teams.
3. Scheduling:
- The Board is responsible for creating and distributing game schedules.
- Make-up games shall be scheduled as needed due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Article VII - Disciplinary Actions
1. Violations:
- Any breaches of the Code of Conduct or league policies may result in disciplinary action.
2. Process:

- The Board shall review incidents and determine appropriate consequences, which may include warnings,
suspensions, or expulsions.
- Individuals have the right to appeal decisions to the Board.

Article VIII - Amendments
1. Proposal:
- Amendments to these bylaws may be proposed by any board member.
2. Approval:
- Proposed amendments require a two-thirds majority vote of the Board for adoption.
